Numbers cut in stone.
Collaboration for Yorokobu Magazine December Issue.
I was invited to design the last section of the magazine where each month a designer is selected to create a set of custom numbers.
My first approach was to search in the origins of writing, where the inscriptions in stone and primitive geometric forms came as the main reference. Starting from this point i designed a set of numbers close to their contemporary look, but treating them more as a sculpture than a drawing.
As part of the process i also created some alternate number sets.
