I recently moved to Den Haag in the Netherlands, so here is a short serie of bike and bikers. When I began these portraits I had two references in my mind :
- the Dutch artist Dick Bruna for the simplicity of his illustrations , the elegance of his continuous thick black lines, and his flat colors.
- the Dutch animation director Michael Dudok de Wit for his amazing cartoon « Father and Daughter » which gave me my first hint about Dutch bikes, landscapes and weather, a lot of years before I could even have the idea that I would live here now.
