We're a race that is dependent on the inevitable advancement of technology. 

Regard this as a message from the future - Robots/Androids will be developed by humans, which will be connected to the world wide web and will try learn all about the patterns in which the human brain works.

Which will result in either being enslaved or completely obliterated by this creation.
