A chic, intimate getaway for those in the know, Hyde Lounge is the ultimate in exclusive socializing. The sophistication and luxury provide the gliteratti with a haven from the everyday nightlife experience. Dark wood, rich leather and cozy booths create a lush, inviting ambiance and relaxing atmosphere ideal for unwinding. Hyde is home to an elite community of the highest profile personalities, athletes and artists looking for the latest music and a night that fulfills their every need.
The legendary Hyde on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood has grown to include locations in South Beach and Las Vegas. This preeminent nightlife brand will soon bring its elevated service and influential clientele to New York and many other locations across the nation.
I was responsible for creating production drawings for the overall space and for designing and fabricating the main "Butterfly Bar". The bands are made of 1/2" PVC Sheet stock. The shapes were unfolded in 3D, which were used as cut lines for the CNC machine. I produced custom light fixtures that adhere to the form of the "Butterfly Bar." The bands tie the upper bar lounge area to the lower level entrance.
