The Old Minister's House is a five star luxury guest house in the heart of Cairngorm National Park in Scotland. In the Summer of 2017, the guesthouse changed hands and the new owners were looking for a cohesive, calm identity to exude luxury and promote what sets them apart from the competition - special, thoughtful touches.

The logo uses a soft serif, typical of the late 1800s when the house was built for a minister of The Church of Scotland. Below sits a scribbled cursive used throughout the identity adding a personable, approachable feel to the house. This changes out from the main logo in different contexts when the guest house wants to communicate to different audiences. The cursive scribble is used in a broader, playful sense too. From the whisky tasting notes in the guest lounge to labels encouraging guests to enjoy complimentary home-baking in the guest rooms, communications are not 'from management' or 'from the team' but instead 'from The Old Minister', an invisible character helping you make the most of your stay.

A warm, earthy green is reflective of the wild, natural setting of the house and it's gardens while a stone cream balances warmth and modernity.
