Cigarette Butts Campaign
Cigarette garbage is a major problem in parking lots, along sidewalks and in streets. The goal of this poster campaign series is to prevent people from littering cigarette butts. The posters were created to communicate the message in a humorous and non-threatening way by using shocking heading text combined with cute characters of a cigarette butt with an emphasis on the "butt".
The target audience is people who take public transportation, and so the posters were designed to appear in Skytrain stations and bus shelters. The large text, combined with a short simple message and colourful characters are used to capture audience's attention from a quick glance as commuters are often passing by in mere seconds.
