The Jucks Collection has been a yearlong photography projected undertaken by local Artist and Designer Patrick Sweeney.
Patrick has been taking the portraits of male character to help raise awareness to Men’s Health both physical and mental.
The campaign aims to encourage men to overcome the stigma of seeking professional help when they need to in such matters. Through the photographing of everyday men from the town, serving as a reminder that this type of suffering does not discriminate and that it can be a cross to bare for anyone.
Opening night of “The Jucks Exhibition” on Tuesday 6 November in the RCC will host a presentation from Pieta House and guest speakers on the Cause and Effects of physical and mental health. Magee’s Pharmacy will sponsor the printing of the photos. Without their great help and support, the exhibition may never have come into being.
All funds that are raised from the sales of these portraits during the month long exhibition at the RCC will go straight to Pieta House. A most worthy and noble cause here in Letterkenny who are making superb inroads in developing the overall health and well-being of so many.
