I've always been curious how colours are changed in photos, how much a photo can be retouched, modified and altered since I became interested in photography. I've begun learning the more complicated retouching methods, and photo alterations. 

This is the original photo, unedited, directly from my camera. 

Both the above and below were adjusted using photoshop, with layer masks used to not change the background. I don't know if this is the best way to do it.
