Rococo Shoe
This shoe was created for my Space and Materiality class. In the assignment, we had to design and create a shoe with at least a 3-inch platform under the sole of the shoe. One of my favorite periods of art is Rococo. I was inspired by the ornate details and elegant lines that are popular in the style.
The bottom of the shoe is made out of plexiglass. I drew out each layer in Illustrator and laser cut it out, then attached together. The top of the shoe is made out of plastic from a clear folder. I added blue thread along the outsides to add definition. The back of the shoe is laced up with ribbon.
