Motet is a mobile music player app. The challenge was to create a minimal, graphic interface that is simple to navigate and easy on the eyes.
The Motet brand identity references the musical notation of a joined eighth-note. The element was tweaked minimally to evoke the letter m. The edges of the graphic are smoothed off to give it a friendly, informal aesthetic.
In the application interface, a light-colored gradient scheme contrasts against the dark UI of Spotify. A squared-off, card-based design system was created and used consistently throughout the screen flow. For more, please visit https://aaronadler.com
