Tableware for The City Nomads
The modern City Nomad spends a lot of their time in transit - on buses, trains or airplanes, so he needs compact and light staff. I created a tableware that doesn't take up a lot of space and can change form depend on situation. Slim circle with a special incisions transforms into the plate or to glass for water and fixed by wooden rings with different diameters. These sets made from two materials like a polylith (kind sort of paper) and reused very slim leather, obtained by traditional way of making musical instrument - drum. The leather soaked with food wax and keeps the cold water inside or this ware you can use just for dry food. It will work for a long time and if you want to throw out the old ware you need not to worry about ecology. If you need hot drink you use polylith ware (temperature range -23 to 220F) and satisfied relevant for food contact. This project shows how we can explore the past and find the ways into the future, in order to engage with simple materials through the new processes and techniques.
