Giant Spoon and The New York Times' T Brand Studio are very excited to bring you the second annual Culture Manual. Culture is the lifeblood of what we do — we were designed to weave brands into culture and culture into brands.
It has been a year of societal, economic, and political uncertainty: it feels as if everything is changing. As culture reflects this uncertain world, it no longer exists on a binary scale. We live in shades of grey, and culture lives on a spectrum of contrasting forces. Accordingly, the theme of this book is Here/There, a lens that allows us to examine the blurred lines that define society today. We've sliced culture into six sections: Art + Design, Communication, Fashion, Mind + Body, Purpose and Travel, with technology as a unifying thread throughout.
