Context: Living in an era where the survival of books is limited by time itself and following the development of technology, alongside personal gadgets, it is relevant to discover alternatives to adapt reading habits that used to be printed in ink and adapt it to a digital world. It’s already possible to read a digital book but what about bringing the stories’ atmosphere in to the reading environment?
“The Perks of Being a Wallflower” by Stephen Chbosky is a novel about a teenager that describes his turbulent life in the form of letters to an anonymous reader. This is were the core of the app lies - A collection of letters reflecting the character’s emotions and thoughts.
Each envelope represents the different main stages of the story and inside each of them there are the intimate thoughts of Charlie as in chapters.
Additionally to the full story written in Charlie’s words there is also a tab about the movie and a short biography for the autor of the book.
