The Woodland Cemetery in Stockholm

The Woodland Cemetery
The Woodland Cemetery (Skogskyrkogården) in Stockholm is an Unesco World Heritage Site.
As a result of an architecture competition in 1914, Gunnar Asplund and Sigurd Lewerentz worked on the project until completion in 1940.  It consists of several unique buildings blended into the landscape around them. Gunnar Asplund died only a few months after completion, and was buried outside the Chapel of Faith. Today they are both considered to be some of Sweden's greatest architects, though Sigurd Lewerentz recognition came later on.

The following images shows the Woodland Chapel, Chapel of Resurrection and The Woodland Crematorium and its chapels, the Granite Cross, Seven Springs Way and Almhöjden.
