30 60 90
Mother nature calls for urgent change in the way humans live while the public wants to occupy it to the fullest. Cities are growing while icebergs shrink.
I challenged myself by choosing the bachelor's test with the most freedom of interpretation. The only thing the application said was '30 60 90'. We had to design three kinds of living units with the given area dimensions.
My design started from the accurate issues we're confronted with. To reduce our weight to the planet I simply lifted up our homes and attached them to a huge wall.
It was important to me that it was accessible to all and that one could live there for the rest of his life. So for example as a freshly graduated youngster you could afford one unit, that's 30m2. Later on, when there's a partner in the picture you could expand with a new unit, above the first one or on the other side of the wall = 60m2. And in the last stage you would have 3 units, 90m2.
The wall would be one big community with not only homes but also shops and offices. This way, people wouldn't need to take out their car that often anymore etc.. The design has plenty of possibilities to live in a healthy and efficient way and reducing the burden we are to mother earth.
