My Hawaiian shirt project
Introduction:
For this assignment, the idea was to create an Hawaiian on our own, with a creative pattern. This assignment was mostly to know how to use tools such as the ellipse tool, the pencil tool or the layer tool.
Materials:
- Adobe Illustrator
Creative process:
First I started to use the "shape tool" to create my own pattern.
Once I've created my pattern I've added it on the pattern tool so I could use it whenever I wanted. Next, it was time to start to build the Hawaiian shirt. I downloaded the link of the Hawaiian shirt on Blackboard so I could use it as a template to help me to build my shirt.
As I respected all the steps, I started to do the inside of the shirt. I used the pattern that I created and I duplicated it. Then I used the line tool to do each part of the shirt. Any time I was doing a specific part of the shirt I had to make a new layer. This is very important to not mess up with the process.
At this point, my Hawaiian shirt was alright. Now, I had to create the buttons. For that I used the ellipse tool and the line tool.
Now that my button was ready I could just place it on my shirt.
My Hawaiian shirt was all set. I just had to finish by finding a good name that could describe my shirt.
Conclusion:
This project was quite interesting to me even I struggled a lot by watching the video on Blackboard because I didn't want to miss a single step. I could have done better but I'm pretty glad of what I've done so far. I know it's not perfect but I hope you enjoyed my project.
