"Bidayuh Tipaduak is placed along footpaths leading to the longhouse as guardian protection in Bau area of Sarawak. Its represents good and bad spirits, carved for special occasions.
Beads are offerings to connect between realms in spiritually healing rituals and strengthens the shaman’s soul when dealing with the spirits during performance of rituals.
The Pimurang/Seraboh such as tooth and claw scares off evil spirits and is a spiritual weapon for self-defense.
The sound created by the bells is to summon semonggi i’eng (spirits), to chase away and prevent evil spirits in the forest from disturbing"
