Katarina: Head counselur at camp, early 20s, attractive, hot headed, powers: fire manipulation & flight

Setting:
Ginny is at a retreat/camp for other "specials" (think mutantesque). She doesn't make many friends at camp because she keeps to herself and embraces nature, but eventually clicks with another bashful girl at camp - Sia - at dinner one day at the mess hall. After an eventful evening in the sky, they land to find Katarina (a camp counselor) upset about the fact that flight was taken so late into the night which is against camp rules. In this altercation, it is revealed that Katarina like many other people with powers has a prejudice against people whose powers are magic aka witches and wizards.
Nearly all "specials" get their powers from freak accidents or suppressed genes from their family, however, Ginny's type being magic ( a power that is nearly always passed down from parent to child) means that she is probably well trained in her abilities. More prominent and well know witches and wizards blend into society very well because there is not outward difference from them to homo sapiens. Magic wielders can be clerks, teachers, movie stars - anything because they can hide their power and tend to have training from their parents and family. This advantage has given them the opportunities to be successful in the natural world and most magic wielders are very well off. On the other hand, specials range immensely. They can be deformed or look human. They can know someone with their powers and learn how to use/hide them (uncommon) or live alone or on the run. Most humans fear both and group them together.

I will be working on a graphic novel project with a group Spring 2018 and will update this at the end of term with my contrubution and the final product.
