Landscape Calendars 2013

Background

This is my second year of producing a Landscape Calendar, this time seriously thinking about a commercial print rather than just producing for family.  Lack of time made it impossible to achieve the required deadlines for a full print run, though - and economies of scale make a small print run too expensive to be a commercial enterprise.

Process
I have been through a long process of selecting and preparing a range of my most suitable landscape photographs, looking also at the format - landscape, portrait, square.  This has developed into 5 different versions because of print template restrictions and different audience preferences.

The pictures below are some of the photos I shortlisted.
Although this is cliche, I get a lot of positive feedback about my version of this classic Millennium Bridge view.
Autumnal view featuring the red of dying bracken - and the waste from old copper mines (Coniston, Lake District)
An unusual seasonal view of Nidderdale from The National Trust's Brimham Rocks (Yorkshire Dales)
Dramatic sky over the imposing rock formation of Almscliff Crag near Harrogate
Another dramatic Lake District scene - with family member
Textures galore - Sky and decaying wood
Malham Cove, a dramatic 200 foot cliff near Skipton, Yorkshire Dales
The Pennine Way path along the top of Pen-y-Ghent, one of the Three Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales
Climbing at Almscliff Crag near Harrogate, North Yorkshire
View of the river Nidd and Victorian railway viaduct from Knaresborough Castle, North Yorkshire
