Shapes in the Kitchen

SHAPES IN THE KITCHEN

What’s the shape of broccoli? It’s an upside-down triangle! Or is it a parallelepiped with circles on the top? Or maybe, it is a green ellipse!
We daily see and touch objects shaped in their own way. These shapes are made by several geometrical elements connecting each other. They’re dovetailed with each other, they blend together to form the objects we use in our daily experience.

But what is Shapes in the Kitchen? It’s a project inspired by the concept of simplification of the ingredients we use, right before they disappear. Every object has its own shape, its real essence. Every dish we cook and eat is a palette of colors, shapes, tastes, vibes, and effort. A dish is more than a dish: it’s a personal experience.

Then, broccoli is a triangle, butter is a square, and artichoke is a crown (or a king?).

Ingredients’ shapes bring us back to our past. They are a personal experience: you see an egg as an ellipse and a potato as a circle. It’s the opposite, to me. Or the mixture of them.
Here, some of my daily shapes, which maybe are similar to yours.

And here, you can find some of my recipes. My favourite unit of measurement? “To taste”.
I hope my recipes will let you experience colors and shapes like I do. Or in a different way, who knows?
Have fun!

Thank you
