The aim of this building is to was to liven up a marginalized area in the city, next to a recognized heritage site containing a mosque. The area had to be treated sensitively. The building functions as a art center and gallery, as such the idea of framing was selected to inform the design, framing of the mosque itself as well as framing views. The theme of re connection was also explored through the movement of people through the site, this  acting as the means for connection along ramps and access ways.
