This is a dress and neck tie I made on my leisure time outside of school. I purchased a pattern and then used flat pattern techniques to make my own alterations to the pattern for my desired fit and preference. The alterations I made were putting more flare into the skirt, adding side gores, updating the bust for my exact fit, and shortening the hem. I also used the left over fabric to make this neck tie. Since I created this piece outside of school I did not make a tech path for it nor did I draw it on a croqui. It has a center back zipper for fit, an A-line silhouette, cap sleeves, flared skirt with side gores, and a square neckline with a center front V slit.
