THE LITTLE GRASS AND THE FLOWER
_________________________________________________________
There was a grass living in the garden. He was in love by a flower. The flower was so tall and the grass so little, that they’ve never met.
Every day the gardener trimmed the grass and watered the flower.
One day the flower made fun of him... “Poor little grass! Day by day you’re becoming even shorter. You’ll never grow. ahahah!”
One day the gardener didn’t show up. And not in the next, the next and the next... Day by day the grass was growing and growing. And because he was trimmed so many times, his roots were strong and healthy. Each day the grass was becoming bigger, while the flower thirstier and wilt.
Finally the grass was big enough to speak to the flower face to face.
His new look didn’t made him less humble. He spoke to the flower the same way as in the past.
The grass said: “Hi! How are you?”
And the flower started to cry.
She was so sad and ashamed by her behavior in the past that her petals started to fall.
Worried the grass said: “Your petals are falling! Are you okay?”
The flower was so weak, she couldn’t even say a word.
“Let me help you!” he said.
And she passed out, falling on the ground.

The flower was not good for him in the past, but he still wanted to help. He knew she was in need of water. The Gardner was gone for days!
He grabbed the flower’s roots and cracked them connecting to his roots. And like a big passionate kiss, he fed the flower with his own sap.
The flower quickly recovered and after a while was already able to stand up by herself.
She was so grateful and surprised... “why did you helped me? I’ve never been good for you.”
“I don’t know. I didn’t want you to die” he said.
The flower hugged the grass and gave him a very long kiss.
On the following day the gardener returned.
And the grass said to the flower: “He will make me short again.”
“I don’t care.” she said “we will be always connected”.
Holding each other roots they both smiled.
