I created an influencer led football tekkers event, to launch the new Chelsea and Spurs kits for Sports Direct

Nike were creating football kits for Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea for the first time in and SD Football, a new offshoot of the main Sports Direct main brand, asked us to launch them with an influencer campaign.

I took the opportunity to put bragging rights up for grabs; pitting the two local London rivals against each other, in a winner-takes-all football skills competition.

The teams were made up of influencers, with each broadcasting the competition from their point of view through their own social media channels.

I led client relationship for this work, designed the event, selected influencers and briefed them. Then filmed and photographed much of the action myself, to share on social.

THE COMPETITION - MY OVERVIEW OF THE DAY

5 football tekker challenges to test their football skills and tricks to their limits. Dribble challenges, shot power tests, and tyre goal shoot outs all culminated in a Captain's freestyle skillz-off. Organising the layout of the event, the challenges and the look and feel of the day were all led by me.

SWEATING THE ASSETS

We made the most of the opportunity to capture images of the kits in use, with a series of catalogue shots captured at the event for later use in the online store and in social media promotion.

A SUITE OF SOCIAL ASSETS

From the shoot we generated a set of assets to use the SD Football's social channels and supplied each influencer with images and GIFs to post out as the campaign kicked-off.
