Storyboard, Apocalypto Illustrations (E-Book M.F.A. Thesis)
For my experimental illustration assignment idea I was searching for an interesting topic to study and use for my thesis on E-book illustration. I absolutely love to watch movies. Historic, periodic, and off-beat are my favorite movie genre. I was thinking of illustrating one of the Hollywood movies that I have to love the most. I wanted to illustrate a story out of movies like Apocalypto Directed by Mel Gibson. the dawn of the planet of the apes, perfume, into the wild, etc. Out of all these movies, Apocalypto is my favorite. The story of this movie, its characters, cinematography, perspectives, excellent acting (especially expressions), emotions, etc. Had a significant impact on me. Also, I read books based on the lives of tribal people such as 'balut' written by Daya Pawar which increased my interest in this topic. So, eventually, I decided to complete my thesis study through an e-book story illustration based on the story of this movie.
