In Hong Kong, buildings cores in typical towers emphasis on economic value. Cores are designed to achieve maximum profit. In many cases, other qualities in a building are being neglected.

The objective of this proposal is to design a new prototype core for residential tower in Hong Kong, which takes care of economic value and also favors environmental value and social value of buildings.

The research on building core and regulations would provide a framework for the design. The major methodology is to manipulate core components to bring out those values. Relationships between people, buildings and environment would be major considerations in the proposal.

The project is a result of the Core Value Studio.
