Role: Sole Creative Designer
Background
YAWONI was founded with a clear purpose: to understand and cater to the needs of women with coarser hair textures. Driven by self-love and simplicity, the products are crafted to be free from harsh chemicals and presented in beautiful packaging, creating moments that uplift and empower. More than just a hair care brand, YAWONI symbolizes a movement of empowerment and inclusivity, celebrating the beauty of diverse hair textures and empowering women worldwide.

Problem
Yawoni, a global cultural marketplace for African Fashion, Beauty & Design, was launching a hair product but needed a package design that would appeal to customers and stand out effectively when placed on a shelf among other products.

Solution
To address this challenge, I visited several local cosmetic stores and hair product aisles to gain insights. Recognizing the necessity for Yawoni to distinguish itself from competitors, I created a unique and straightforward bottle and jar design. This design ensured that Yawoni's hair product would not only catch the attention of potential customers on store shelves but also set it apart from its direct competitors.
