The Project „With a Love to...“ with a subtitle „Design a better life (for you)“ is dedicated to committed design, design as a process, it is curious about topics such like informations, editoring etc. During the research I was searching to the people, who are changing their surroundings and design a better life for others, but also for themselves. I have searching this „design“ thinking not only in professional, but also in amateur, „folk“ attitudes in our (Central European) context.

It is a narration about people who are enthusiastic, spirited, but also competent to accomplish their vision (by „small-big“ acts).

There became a few outputs during the working on the project:

1. theoretic diploma thesis

2. baedeker, guide, which is presenting the stories and initiatives of these people

3. videos, which are complementing the selected stories

4. photographic series – Province, in which I am interested in the places on the edge – in geografical view or in the view of our interest. I was inspired by book of G. Bachelard – The Poetics of Space – in which was used the term topophilia – love to the place. The photographic series is placed in the baedeker.

5. As an atypic complement of used form of baedeker I have designed the illustration book (not only) for children – Láska Nebeská (Celestial Love) with stories of 2 personificated clouds.

From the formal point of view I was connecting simple cover – shape, material and colour wise – which is suplemented by a stripe describing the story from the baedeker.

Main purpose of this project was to design a layout for further meaningful stories of people and their deeds.

Simply - it is promotion of distinguished projects which role is to motivate and let people know that IT IS POSSIBLE to do it.
