"Contra Dæmones" for Nowness

Directed by Ivan Olita, and produced by BRAVÒ, “Contra Dæmones” is a short film that takes us on an ethereal journey to the Tuscan hills of Siena, home of the most Important exorcist of the Vatican, Father Raffaele Talmelli. Over flickers of an electric guitar, moduled by Grammy award-winning composers ALI HELNWEIN & DANIEL MCCORMICK the film is an exploration of the conflicting impulses of mankind and the conception of Evil. As a psychiatrist and graduate of psychology of communications, Father Raffaele’s take on religion contains very little folklore. In his world there are no monsters coming out of the closet— there are only choices and our free consent to good or to evil.
