I've made this pencil drawing of a modern house with an amazing Porsche 911 at the front as a personal project - for the pleasure of designing architecture and perfecting my skills as a traditional artist (I'm also using this architectural sketch as an example when I'm teaching my teenage students in Poland the perspective drawing).
The concept of this building constitutes a sum of current trends in architecture - minimalism of form, huge overhangs and chosen finishing materials.
This 'dream home' consists of three visible parts finished with plaster, wood and architectural concrete. It has a lot of glazing that opens to the surrounding landscape.
House is situated in a terraced garden full of seemingly unkempt greenery and rocks.
Pine forest in the background highlights the body of the building and diversifies the composition of this perspective drawing.
Eye-catching Porsche in the foreground makes the whole picture look more complete.
Perspective lines are left visible and combine smoothly with the finished tone and shading, adding dynamism to the drawing.
