As it became more apparent that the internet was more than just a medium,
I decided to solidify my personal brand with two simple elements: an icon and a colour.
I wanted a simple icon that encapsulated who I am and what I do in a glance.
So after a few nights of iteration this shape and colour was born.
The shape started as a 5 point star with vertices pulled out to
resemble the head of one of my favourite animals: the fox.
From here, the stroke was emphasised on the top and bottom
to create this outward explosive style while keeping the original shape.
Then I experimented with colour, I wanted something that looked
good in large minimal designs and played well with negative space.
The final product was given a long shadow to cast some contrast across an otherwise flat design. The saturation in the orange was brought down a bit to fit the new contrast.
