This project is about re-designing an existing entrance area for a construction company's office. The office interiors is relatively simple with standard office workstation setup. The client actually wanted to create a sitting area at the entrance area for their client to sit and wait for collecting cheque, or maybe a little chat without accessing the main office area. He also wanted a little design for photo gallery to showcase pictures of their past construction work.

(Proposed Initial Design) The approach was to create a bright entrance area via vertical panel with halogen light shining downwards to the sitting area as well as the vertical photo gallery. However, with this setup, the vertical photo showcase might now looks good and truly showcase the company's work well.

(Proposed Final Design) Another approach is through the materiality and simplicity of design. The design is actually uses raw / black-painted wire-framing to holds the photos that showcase the company's work, at the same time raw bricks are painted white to create a reflection of the company's brand and nature - a construction company. This area stands out in grey colour to differentiate from other part of the office to create a strong contrast design.
