    The typography plays an important roll in the construction of the brand idea: City Landscape and University City. The composition gives expression to those two sides with the upper – Alta – and lower town – Sofia (Street) –, grabbed by a ribbon (classic academic symbol) where stands the University of Coimbra. It’s a metaphor to the city urbanism. Where tradition, history, science, humanities political, arts, blends with academic living. All this, gives Coimbra the importance of “city of knowledge”.
