Wiki Reader
This book titled, "Technological Utopia," is a combination of different Wikipedia articles. For this project a topic is chosen on Wikipedia, and then it is passed to the first person in the class who could then click any three wikipedia links to get to their starting topic. That topic is then passed to the next person where they click any three links to get their starting topic. After you find your starting topic, you continue clicking a maximum of three links to get the topic for the rest of your book. The book could have a minimum of five topics and a maximum of twelve, and was to be 8.5 x 11 inches. My starting topic was Technological Utopianism, and I chose to explore the different technologies that I feel already work to make our lives a Utopia. I also used the Garden of Earthly Delights tryptic, by Hieronymus Bosch, to point out that while these technologies are good they can also be used for bad, and what once was a utopia can be turned into a living nightmare.
