Project Brief

In this project I asked to choose a site. It can be a room, a closet, an abandoned lot, a wall, a rooftop, a stairwell, anything is possible but I must be able to access and freely explore this space. My job is to create an “identity system” for an art gallery that might exist at this site. I was required to use the history of this site as well as its physical attributes as inspiration for creating the identity and name of the gallery.

Ideation

I create an “identity system” for an art gallery for the exciting site in California College of the Arts. It is a place has an excellent location with abundant sunshine and abandoned shipping containers.

The main goal is to recycle these shipping containers and built an ecological light complex environment inside. Each container has a different visual to enhance the diversity of light environment.

As the word suggests, the name ‘Transient’ means lasting only for a short time, ‘Transient’ refers to the short duration of sunshine. The art show only can see in the daytime of a sunny day.
