2018 Greeting Poster
In many cultures around the world, a shooting star is associated with dreams and hope, as it is believed that this phenomenon (a shooting star) has the magical power of granting us a wish. I wanted to play with this idea on my 2018 greeting poster. Therefore, I created an idealistic sky, full of shooting stars, where the main ones are suggesting the numbers 2018 with their movements. A shooting star is also a very ephemeral thing, which echoes with the idea of life itself. The result is a 2018 made out of opportunities, hopes and magic, that has to be fully exploited before vanishing forever. The poster becomes an invitation to dream and reflect on what we would really wish to happen in this new year if we were granted a wish.
