A series of watercolour illustrations for The MONOCLE Travel Guide (my 12th guide) for San Francisco.
I love these travel guides because I get to learn the cities I paint through them. This one was especially interesting as my husband was offered a job in San Francisco at the same time. He ended up taking the one in New York but I must admit just because of the Case For Making store I was tempted by the idea of moving to SF. They have an amazing range of watercolours which of course is my preferred medium.
I only use Strathmore 400 Series cold press watercolor paper. I tried many other paper types but this one seems to provide the best blending effects for my style.
