Trashy in Forbidden City
Project Trashy is about making electronic trash into art. The project was first created by Artist Mizou in 2016. Electronic trash is a bit different about other kind of waste. Most of the E-waste are decomposed and put into production again - the downcycle way.
We're doing the upcycle way: those wastes we collected were mostly personal belongings people still kept for memories inside them, or just because they still work well but bypassed by rapid pace of technology. We want to revoke the unspoken and the forgotten in the electronic trash by our work.
This set of work is a collabration between art and photography, photographer 2long recreated Trashy from his lense in the unique Forbidden City in Beijing.

Project Trashy 是把电子垃圾变成艺术品，由 米走 在2016年初创建。今年我们决定让Trashy成为一个超越创作者的开源艺术项目。
电子垃圾和其他类型的垃圾不同，大多电子垃圾都被分解然后重新投入生产 - 传统的向下循环的方法，我们想要的则是保持电子垃圾本身的样子，发觉其除了产品之外的意味。我们所收集的电子垃圾大多是人们还保存着的产品，有时是舍不得曾经包含的回忆， 有的产品本身还可以正常使用，只是被时代抛弃了而已。我们想要的，就是用艺术去挖掘这其中的意味。
这组作品是和摄影师二笼碰撞的结果，在独一无二的故宫拍摄完成。Trashy期待更多人参与进来，任何和电子垃圾有故事的人。
