"King Fahad Station is a main architectural and urbanistic/infrastructural project, created to host the trains from the Haramain High Speed Rail system, which is actually a work by Foster and Partners. The project's intetion was offer to the city, an alternative design to Foster's work, creating a building inspired by something that is unchengeable, the nature.
The design exctracted strategies from the bodies of the desert reptiles, creatures shaped by milions of years, to adapt to the heat and the dryness of the desert."
