Toledo VIIth. century
Toledo VIIth. century | Ideal reconstruction of the "urbs regia" of Toledo, capital of Visigoths in Hispania. In the middle years of the 6th century, Toledo began to stand out among the cities of the Iberian Peninsula, initiating a process towards the "urbs regia" of the Visigothic kingdom, giving rise to large architectural structures superimposed, after centuries of being converted in symbolic capital of great empires. Based on most recent archaeological data and made for the historical magazine Arqueología e Historia DespertaFerro nº 16 "Visigodos en Hispania".
