Mumbai Hackathon Logo and Shirt

Mumbai Hackathon was conceptualized by Frappé to promote open source software development. The first Mumbai Hackathon was hosted by Frappé and Don Bosco Institute of Technology on 26th March 2016. Participating teams developed 11 open source applications in 30 hours.
We wanted the logo to be minimal with a hint of Indian character. So, for the logotype, we used the Devanagari script to write ‘Mumbai’. The logo-mark used the first glyph ‘M’ in the devanagari script, enclosed in curly brackets to indicate code. It uses the open source fonts Ek Mukta by Ek Type and Raleway by Pablo Impallari.
