Rings

The work piece, akin to tree rings, honours the age of memories pertaining to the Grand Old Dame.
However, memories are ephemeral in nature; the lack of connection may subject it to a state of decay and details may become difficult to recall as time passes.  

The use of chromatography together with liquid essence extracted from the former national stadium’s bench wood, portrays the flow of memories. Through the layers, the recurring memories radiate from a core, where part of it will remain deeply rooted to one despite the gradual reduction over time.
