During my most recent semester at Ball State, I was enrolled in a motion graphics & animation course.  One of our assignments was to make a 2-minute biography video using parallax & the Ken Burns "Pan & Scan" effect.  I chose to use the audio from Gatsby's backstory and recreate the movie scene using screenshots from the movie.  The resulting animation is comprised almost entirely of still images that have been animated in Adobe After Effects.  

Then only video assets I incorporated are the rippling texture of the water at the beginning and the outro scene.
