Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky famously featured in Ridley Scott's 1982 cult sci-fi Blade Runner. In the film a bold, futuristic bottle steals scenes alongside Harrison Ford, depicting how Johnnie Walker might look in the (then) distant 21st century.
When a sequel was announced, LOVE. were invited to imagine a new, futuristic Johnnie Walker bottle for Blade Runner 2049. Conceptualising how the brand might appear in a neo-noir year 2049, with a little help from the film studio & director Denis Villeneuve.
Taking inspiration from the iconic hourglass bottle form in the original film, we refined this shape by introducing Johnnie Walker's distinctive twenty-four degree angle. A high-gloss black coating covers the top & base, framing the vibrant whisky colour & accentuating the sharp, straight edges. A beautiful black presentation box completes the pack, with a stunning neon drenched bottle shot on the front, inspired by the iconic aesthetic of both Blade Runner films.
