Instructional Design and Evaluation Model Instituting Work-Life-Balance for Educators
Instructional designers (IDs) must be able to effectively use an instructional design and development process appropriate for a given project. In partnership with the onboarding process for newly hired K-12 educators and those with less than 5 years of teaching experience, this video was designed as a component to the training needs analysis to raise awareness regarding work-life balance for educators. Upon completion of this training, learners will have developed tools that support the organization’s core value in educators living a healthier work-life balance.  Throughout the training, learners will have individual and collaborative opportunities in online exercises for personal and peer review. Learners will make use of organizational tools that help backwards plan to meet daily and monthly objectives.  For continuous coaching purposes, the learner will plan ways to achieve the goal of a healthy work-life balance through a research strategy called WOOP.  WOOP is a practical, accessible, evidence- based activity that helps learners find and fulfill their goals.  (All learning outcomes and objectives are subject to revision based on findings from data analysis and needs analysis).
