Can we use data to inspire engineers to innovate? To answer this, we created an interactive and modular visual identity system for Innosparks, an ST Engineering open lab. The visual identity invites engineers to interact with the brand and understand the landscape of real-world problems like pollution and climate change.
The result is a dynamic graphic pattern that draws data from open sources — eg. the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) levels. This pattern responds with varying dynamics dependent on the values of the live data. This interactive and modular identity system at once establishes Innosparks as a responsive lab that solves immediate real-world problems, but also one that creates disruptive innovation with a positive rippling effect of change.
