Design of Real Hopter From "Doraemon"

How does an insect fly with it?
How do you fly with birds?

Like some of them I would like to fly the sky one day.

One of the representative secret tools of Doraemon, one of the traditional Japanese anime "Hopter"

Although it is a dreamlike tool that can fly the sky just by attaching it to the head, I thought about what will happen if I actually reproduce it, what will happen if I make it a realistic design.

■ Think about shapes
First of all design and modeling.
3D modeling + rendering software "SHADE 3D" was used for modeling and rendering.

You can see the front view on the bottom left, but it is a twin rotor in a helicopter place. We adopted a shape with two feathers (below, blades) on the top and bottom.

If the blade is in a state like a cartoon or cartoon, it turns itself to the opposite side in the direction of rotation with the blade itself. (Referred to as counter torque)
With a normal helicopter, the thing called a tail rotor is attached to the aircraft's butt, and counter torque is canceled.

However, if the upper and lower blades are twin rotors that rotate in reverse, tail rotor is unnecessary.
For that reason, we obtain a shape close to the original TAKEKO COPPER and increase the safety against contact accidents.

Thanks Takeko. I can not see it behind you.

■ I tried rendering to 3D shape
I tried to render the shape that I did.

●Front view

I tried coloring as a two-tone color of white and light blue.
The part worn on the head is not a hemispherical type like the original animation but a helmet type. This will be described later.

The hemispherical type also requires a strong scalp that can withstand the lifting force of the body.

●Side view
The measures of sunlight are also patched by attaching a brim of a cap taste.
●Top view
I like the visual on the top like a spaceship.

■ Try to move

As I felt that the blade would break when stored in a closet etc, I made a function to deform and store it and tried to move it.

■ You must protect the pilot's body
If you actually fly with Takeko, the intense wind born by Twin Rotor hits the entire body, including your head.

Chill and rain in the air will crash during the flight with intense momentum. It is not a flight far beyond that.

So I adopted the third rotor "Barrier Rotor" at the bottom of the twin rotor.

The barrier rotor injects intense wind at 360 ° around the head.
As a result, the wind blowing from the main twin rotor toward the bottom diffuses to the outside (image.01)

By the wind towards the bottom and the wind towards the outside, "wind wall" is formed like wrapping the body.
This is why it is a "barrier". (Image.02)

This will protect you from chill and rain.
