Introduction

Asian American Association is one of the largest culture club on campus with roughly 300 members. We host several events throughout the semester ranging from culture showcases to professional networking talks. As one of the largest culture clubs, we work together with various other small clubs such as CSA (Chinese Student Association), TASA (Taiwanese Student Association), VSA (Vietnamese Student Association) and more!

Mission

This site serves as a way for potential members to learn a bit more about what we do. It serves as a point to document the history of the club by recording the events we have hosted as well as a point for photos to be uploaded and stored for future generations of the club.

Additionally, the site is also designed to be used as an internal tool for the management of events, digitalizing the white pages, anonymous tipping of issues that need to be addressed, and committee management.

Development

In regards to development, I plan to use the AGILE development cycle by working with the current officers to iterate through a series of features over the course of the next semester Spring 2018. I will be using a ruby on rails to build the back end and react for the front end. If you’re interested in following along in the development process you can check out the GitHub link below to track my progress or even try it yourself! link!
