2018 FWSSR Service Promotion

Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo (FWSSR) 2018 Service Promotion Design
To promote ridership to the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, I was given creative liberty to put together a design that would weave a combination of the rustic southern atmosphere with embedded messaging that promotes both residents and visitors to ride FWTA services to and from the event. My design process involves researching existing creative for inspiration and creating a mood-board, creating a design key (as we call it) that dictates the overall design, then formatting that design from an 8.5 x 11 to multiple formats that fit various aspects of our printed collateral locations.
The mood-board I created from various searches on Behance and Niice that I felt captured the essence of western design.
It was a little tricky nailing down a color palette, so I created multiple. I wanted a very rusted and warm look. Much of western design seems to stem from sunset and dust colors (which is much of what west Texas looks like).

Concept 2
Revisions of Concept 2. Added a bit more red, eliminated a route we didn't plan on advocating for the event, and adding in other necessary details.
Concept 3. Personally my favorite in the mix.
Concept 4
Concept 5, which builds a bit on 4, but adds in blue, one of our primary brand colors.
Concept 6: the final selected option.
There's a nice marriage between our brand colors and a western feel. If I would've used the brand colors straight on, they would've been a bit too punchy, so to give them a western feel, I warmed them up a bit and desaturated them as well.
One of the final products; a poster we place at our central bus transfer locations, where these signs will remain through the event's conclusion.
