Blood Relations & Family Ties

Blood Relations & Family Ties
York/Sheridan Design: Information Design 1
For this assignment, we were asked to create an infographic that demonstrated relationships. For my final concept, I chose to showcase the relationship that I have with each blood related member of my family, like a family tree of sorts (going as far back as my grandparents). At first, I thought this would be a simple task, but I underestimated the amount of time it would take to collect and organize the data, specifically figuring out ages and the correct spelling of certain names. Not to mention I quickly realized how difficult it would be to fit all 86 of these family members on an 11 x 17 piece of paper!

What did I learn? Including in-laws (not shown in my design), my family could populate a small town. And this is definitely one of the projects from my 2nd year that I am most proud of.

Here's a link to it in it's entirety

Oh, and I did not blur out any names simply because it would ruin the details. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, do not harass my family. We will gather. And find you.
